White River is in Northwestern Ontario, right on the Transcanada Hwy. This is one of the very few opportunities to strech your legs as this marks the mid point between Saut St. Marie and Thunder Bay, a 700km stretch of road, forest, Lake Superior and not much else.
The black bear who later became the famous Winnie The Pooh was purchased here in White River.
